Stealth routers are hops on a path that did not respond to packets Lumeta sent to discover paths during Network Discovery and during the phase of Host Discovery that discovers paths to every IP address.

Lumeta has no other information for the device

An real life example is performing traceroute.  The hops with *** will be a stealth. 

For example, Lumeta would define hop 12 as a stealth on a map
