Lumeta fetches BlueCat-managed addresses, compares them to Lumeta-discovered addresses within the same network space, and then pushes the differences back to the BlueCat address manager. This is done on a continual basis and ensures that BlueCat Address Manager has an authoritative set of IP addresses to manage.

Installation

  1. Save this Lumeta_workflow.tar.gz file to your local directory.
  2. Log in to your BlueCat Gateway server.
  3. On the Workflow Management page, in the Available Actions column, select Workflow Management.
     

  4. At the bottom of the page, select Choose File.
  5. Browse to and select the Lumeta_workflow.tar.gz file you saved locally, then click Import.
  6. Install the zip file.


     
  7. Once installed, open the Extensions list to confirm that the Lumeta extension has been installed.



  8. Select Lumeta.


  9. In Queries & Reports, check to make sure the following Lumeta queries have been installed.


  10. Browse to Dashboards to confirm that the Lumeta Dashboard: Lumeta-Managed Devices is available.  


     

Uninstalling the Lumeta Extension

  1. In the McAfee ePO console, browse to Extensions.
     
  2. Uninstall the extension.

     
  3. Browse to the list of Extensions to ensure that the Lumeta folder containing extension is no longer displayed.
     
  4. Browse to Queries & Reports to ensure that the Lumeta-related queries are no longer displayed.
     
  5. Browse to Dashboards to ensure that the Lumeta dashboard is no longer displayed
