Once a Command Center is attached to the Portal it can be accessed on the Portal Map of Spectre systems in one of two modes:

  1. Read Only mode (by left clicking a CC)
As it implies, is a means of viewing Command Center details.
  2. Client Based Authentication or CBA mode (by right clicking a CC).
The user will be prompted to Login to the Command Center with credentials that would determine their authorization and thus what functionality they may have. PKI enabled systems will not show the login prompt as authentication is handled in a different manner (see Enabling PKI on Spectre)

Sign Out behavior and its importance

The Sign Out menu item located underneath the currently logged in User name (top right of screen) will always bring the user back to the Portal Login screen. While users may be able to simply close the browser tab instead, we highly recommend that they use the Sign Out menu item. The reason for this is to make sure that the current user session is destroyed so that unauthorized users cant access the site.

Returning to the Portal Map of Spectre systems from Read Only mode

When the user is done accessing a Command Center in Read Only mode they may return to the Portal Map of Spectre systems by clicking the Portal Logo (top left of screen).

Returning to the Portal Map of Spectre systems from CBA mode

When the user is done accessing a Command Center in CBA mode they may return to the Portal Map of Spectre systems by changing the URL to the host name (dns or ip address) as if they were logging into the Portal for the first time. The user will be directed without having to login again to the Portal Map of Spectre systems.
